Cookie policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
In short. The Tuskit website sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may keep two small settings for the site: your light or dark theme, and your analytics choice. Website analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) loads only if you say yes on the banner. The table below lists exactly what is stored. This policy covers the website at https://tuskit.app; the app has its own storage, which the privacy policy covers.
1. What this website stores in your browser
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Browsers also have “local storage”, which works in a similar way for a site’s own settings. This is everything Tuskit stores:
| Name | What it is for | How long | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|---|
tk-themeLocal storage, set by this website | Holds the word “light” or “dark”. It remembers the theme you chose with the theme button, so the page opens in it next time. | Until you clear this site’s data. It has no expiry date. | No. It is written only when you press the theme button, and holds no personal data. |
tk-consentLocal storage, set by this website | Holds the word “yes” or “no”. It remembers your answer to the analytics banner, so the banner does not ask again. | Until you clear this site’s data. It has no expiry date. | No. It is written only after you click a button on the banner, and it only records that choice. |
__cf_bm and cf_clearanceCookies, set by Cloudflare, not by our pages | A random identifier that helps tell people from bots. Security only: Cloudflare may set these when its bot protection, or a security check, is active on the site. | Short. __cf_bm lasts about 30 minutes; Cloudflare decides the length of cf_clearance. | No. They are strictly necessary for the security of the site. |
Nothing else is stored. In particular, there is no advertising cookie, no cross-site tracking cookie, no social-media pixel, and no cookie that is set by our contact or sign-up forms. The theme setting is not shared with anyone. Our pages do not read or set any other cookie, and we do not use cookies to identify you.
2. Analytics: only if you say yes
When website analytics is switched on, a banner asks you before anything loads. If you choose “Okay”, your browser loads Cloudflare’s Web Analytics script from static.cloudflareinsights.com, which reports how pages are used to Cloudflare, for us to read: for example which pages are viewed, the page you came from, your browser and device type, your approximate country, and how fast the page loaded. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies or local storage and does not track people across websites. Its own privacy information explains how it handles the data.
If you choose “Essential only”, the script never loads and nothing is sent. If analytics is not switched on for the site, you will not see the banner and nothing is loaded. We ask first because we think you should choose.
3. Fonts and requests to other companies
The website serves its own typefaces from its own address, so your browser does not contact a font service run by another company. The website is delivered by Cloudflare, which sees your internet address and the pages you request as it serves them, and may keep short-lived logs for security and reliability. The privacy policy says who we share data with and why.
4. Forms
When you send an enquiry through a form, the details you type are sent to us and handled as the privacy policy describes. The form does not use a cookie.
5. Your choices, and how to withdraw consent
- Change your analytics choice. Clear this site’s data in your browser (usually under Settings, Privacy, “Cookies and site data”, then remove the data for https://tuskit.app). The banner then asks you again on your next visit, where analytics is switched on, and you can choose differently. Clearing the data also removes your saved theme.
- Block or delete cookies. You can set your browser to block or delete cookies and site data. The website works without them; it just forgets your theme and your choice. If you block Cloudflare’s security cookies, a security check may be shown more often.
- Do not want analytics at all. Choose “Essential only”, or simply do not respond to the banner. Analytics does not load unless you say yes.
If you wish to see or delete any personal data we hold about you, see your rights in the privacy policy.
6. Changes to this policy
If we start to use another cookie or similar technology, we will update this page first, and, where it needs your agreement, ask you before it is used.
