How a small shop can collect pending payments without chasing
Know who owes you and for how many days, oldest first, and send each one a short reminder with their invoice and a way to pay by UPI. Record every payment against the exact invoice, so the balance is never added up from memory.
1. Record advances on the order
Write down every advance when you take it: the amount, the date and whether it came by UPI or cash.
2. Make the invoice from the order
Create the invoice from the order itself, with the advance taken off. The UPI QR and your bank details can print on it, so the customer can pay straight from the invoice.
3. Keep a list of who owes you, by days
List every customer with a balance and the number of days it has been due, longest first. Start at the top.
4. Send a statement to the customer who keeps asking
A statement of account shows what was invoiced and what was paid. It settles most doubts without a phone call.
5. Send a short reminder you can press Send on
Write a short message with the amount and the days overdue. Tuskit writes the reminder for you and opens WhatsApp; you press Send yourself. Tuskit does not message your customers for you.
6. Let the customer pay in any UPI app
The customer pays in any UPI app and marks the order as paid on their link.
7. Confirm the payment
You check that the money has arrived and confirm it. The receipt then lands in your books against that invoice.
8. Look at the ageing once a week
On the Pro and Max plans, bank reconciliation and ageing show how long balances have been outstanding. Go through them every week.
Where Tuskit fits
Tuskit keeps this in one place: advances on the order, an invoice from the order, a list of who still owes you, statements, and reminders written for you to send. Payments are recorded against the exact invoice, and your invoice and your books show the same figures.
